Our Story
How It All Began
The Beginning
It was the first day of orientation at Michigan State University. With only one seat remaining, Richard ran past another student to snag the last seat. There he met Sara. Their connection was instant where they bonded as close friends. What began as a great friendship, continued for two years. Eventually what started as friendship turned into a beautiful relationship. Now, they are ready for the next chapter of their life to begin.
Falling in Love
As the years passed, the two spent more time together, said "I love you" together, moved in together, and shared plentiful joyous moments together. From dancing in the kitchen waiting for water to boil, to hiking in the smokies and finding a bigfoot seeker, to Sara winning a hula hoop contest on a cruise, they cherished every moment together. Through these moments, big and small, their love grew.
The Proposal
In November 2025, Richard and Sara went out on one of their standard dates. They got boba, one of Sara's favorite drinks, and took a stroll through Michigan States campus to reminisce. They walked past their old dorms, classroom buildings, and talked about where they met and the past. When Richard and Sara walked past one of campuses most iconic spots, the Beaumont Tower, he got down on one knee and asked Sara to spend the rest of her life with him. And the rest is history!
